Ability counts is the long running football project run by Salisbury City Council Communities Team working with Local SEND coach Ben Coombes and supported by District Sports. Offering an opportunity to develop football skills for young people ages 12 to 17 with additional needs and disabilities. With a mixture of skills activities and game play, our coaches focus on the group's abilities and ambitions. We encourage young people and their parents or carers to get in touch so that we can arrange a taster session and so that we can get to know how you work best and how we can best support you to enjoy football and get to know the group.
The group runs from South Wilts Sports Ground in the winter season and Victoria Park in the summer.
Term time only
Mondays - from 5 – 6pm
Working alongside the adult disability community football team, The Tigers, over the traditional football season, this group also offers the opportunity to transition into the adult team when members are ready.
If you would like to visit the session or join, please contact the Communities Team on 01722 417100 or communities@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk
