Take a glimpse into Salisbury's colourful past thanks to Milford Street Bridge Project.
Two murals have been painted on the Milford Street flyover. The pictures were inspired by the stories of local people with research done by a team of volunteers.
On one side, the scene shows life as it had been in the area “before the bridge”. The second was created in 2012 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
There is also a Memory Walk that runs alongside the mural project. The route takes you on a meandering walk through the project area, with lots of historical information, anecdotes and memories. You can follow the route on a smartphone or download and print to take with you.
Education resources have also been produced for schools.
