As Independents Month continues, we celebrate all those new indies that have bravely launched during the coronavirus crisis and are now part of the Salisbury city centre independent business community.
We all know it’s been a tough 18 months. We have struggled through a pandemic and three lockdowns, but Salisbury has remained strong and the future is looking bright.
There is much to be positive about: the end of restrictions is due to happen on July 19th and a range of new independent businesses have chosen Salisbury as their home.

During Independents Month we recognise and champion all the hard work from these businesses that have newly opened during an extremely tough and uncertain time. Congratulations!
Alex Popescu, owner of Pizza Venti, said: “We opened in November, in full pandemic! Opening a family business is never easy and we would like to thank everyone for their support. We wouldn't of survived without the support from the community. We wanted to bring something different to Salisbury and our wood burning stone baked oven plus high quality products manage to achieve this. We are really proud to be part of such a strong community with so many independents!"
