Salisbury District Hospital: Reflections on a pandemic
‘Reflections’ is a new project from Salisbury District Hospital, creating a poetic record of life during a global pandemic.
The poet, Martin Figura, was commissioned to work with staff to produce poems reflecting their experiences during the Covid crisis.

From isolation to sadness, exhaustion to gratitude – all the emotions people felt during the pandemic have been channeled into the pieces.

Martin took to the stage at new venue, Brown Street, on 13th September 2021 to perform a live reading for the first time. The video below is one of the poems he read:
‘Reflections’ was funded by the Hospital League of Friends and The Stars Appeal. The works are expected to be used in future thanksgiving and reflection events.
