There is much to experience in Salisbury this week, as the summer sun continues to shine on our medieval city.

Here are the Salisbury events you’ll want to experience this week:
Salisbury Cathedral Gargoyles
This isn't something you get the opportunity to try very often - making gargoyles! Salisbury Cathedral is running a series of family workshops this week where you can have a go at creating your very own clay gargoyle. There are sessions taking place on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd August. It's £3 per person to take part. Spaces do need to be pre-booked, which you can do by through the Salisbury Cathedral website here.

Sport Roadshow
Salisbury City Council is helping to keep the kids active during the summer break. Their popular Sports Roadshows are back this week with sessions open to children aged 7 to 14. Those taking part can try activities including football, hockey, basketball, cricket and even tchoukball. It's all free, you just need to turn up on the day. Tomorrow’s session is at Churchill Gardens with the final Roadshow taking place on Thursday at Harnham Recreation Ground. More details can be found here.

Did you know there’s a ghost that haunts one of Salisbury’s oldest buildings? Do you know where to find Salisbury’s famous Doom painting?! These are just some of the questions that our expert Salisbury City Guides can answer on their walking tours. Bicycle Repair Station
You 'wheelie' won't want to miss the FREE Bicycle Repair Station in Salisbury this week! Children under 18 can have their bikes repaired on Wednesday 3rd August in the Market Place. All labour and parts will be included, up to £15. You must prebook a slot, which you can do here.
Activities for children at Salisbury Library
There’s a lot going on at Salisbury Library this week. Activities for children are being put on throughout the summer as part of Salisbury Rotary Club’s centenary celebrations. There’s a colouring competition running until Friday (5th August), there’s also a fun trail and you may have missed Rhyme Time today, but Story Time will be back next Monday. As if all that wasn’t enough, from tomorrow (2nd August) you’ll also be able to see the BookBenches that have been designed by children at eight Salisbury schools. Fayre on the Square
Right in the heart of Salisbury city centre, Fayre on the Square makes a great day out for the whole family. You’ll be able to try your hand at crazy croquet and table tennis before enjoying a cooling ice cream or food from one of the amazing street vendors. Salisbury Arts Scene
Salisbury’s talented creators and makers return to the Market Place on Sunday 7th August for the next Salisbury Art Scene event. Artists will set up their galleries for the day to showcase their fabulous work. It’s a great opportunity to pick up a unique piece of art for yourself or a lucky loved one!
Salisbury Bear Hunt
100 teddy bears have been hidden in shop windows across Salisbury city centre – how many have you found so far?! Don’t worry if you haven’t found them all yet, the fun family trail runs until September 3rd. You can pick up a Salisbury Bear Hunt form from locations across the city, including Waterstones and Salisbury Information Centre. Find all the teddies and it could win you a prize. Take part in the Salisbury Bear Hunt and help raise money for Save the Children
With another week of lovely weather forecast, Salisbury’s parks and outdoor spaces offer the perfect location for a summer picnic. Gather friends and family and head to Queen Elizabeth Gardens or Churchill Gardens.
