Salisbury is the perfect city for a spot of shopping.
As well as the larger high street chains, Salisbury is blessed to have an active community of independent shops.
That unique mix of old and new, national and independent, creates an opportunity to discover things you wouldn’t find on any other high street.
The Cross Keys Shopping Centre in Salisbury brings together a range of these businesses in the heart of the city.

The new ones
The last couple of years have hit businesses hard, but Salisbury has remained resilient through a global pandemic.
It is a positive time for the Cross Keys Shopping Centre which has seen numerous new businesses open since the outbreak of Covid. They all add to the vibrancy and positivity felt in the area.
Recent openings include:
Clearway Pets has already, since opening in early 2021, developed a loyal base of customers. They sell everything you need for your pets, from food to toys and accessories.
Sufinama is a shop that offers fashion, accessories, and home decor, including many handcrafted items.
For excitement, head to Live Escape Rooms Salisbury! They’ve created fun escape room activities and games in part of a Grade II Listed 14th century building. Ghost hunts are also run from here.
B-Cut Barbers is the newest on the block, offering barber treatments for men.
Shopping in an historical setting
There is more to the Cross Keys Shopping Centre than you might think. The 14th century building that now houses Live Escape Rooms Salisbury used to be the Plume of Features Inn, and you can still see many original features. There is also another feature on show in the shopping centre that highlights the history of the area and city. Look out for the beautifully preserved Jacobean oak yard staircase just opposite the escape rooms. It used to be staircase for the Plume and Feathers.
