You will discover hats galore in this brilliant indie shop. The Hat Shop stocks hats of all colours, shapes and sizes. Started in 2006 by Dave and Lisa Alexander, they began with a market stall selling socks and underwear before moving onto hats. In 2018 they opened their shop which is filled with headwear to suit all styles and budgets.
As a child, Dave used to go to Snellâs (now CĂ´te Brasserie) with his mum and buy sugar mice, he always dreamt of having the shop opposite and this is now exactly where they are. Although Snellâs is no longer there, it is a dream come true for Dave and his hats.
Stocking a wide range of popular brands including Panama, Stetson & Tilley, they also cater for weddings and special occasions. If you're not sure what hat youâre looking for then Dave and Lisa offer a consultation service to help you find the perfect one.
As we go into the summer season their selection of hats with UPF protection are a very sensible buy. Lots of the hats they stock are packable too so if youâre venturing to far flung places then these will take up little space in your suitcase.
Dave and Lisa are very keen to support British manufacturers and youâll find a lot of hats that have been handmade in Britain.
