Purcell by Candlelight

Conductor and Cathedral Lay Vicar, Edward Rimmer is joined by a consort of 8 professional singers as well as period instrumentalists to present a concert of works by perhaps our greatest ever composer; Henry Purcell. The concert will centre around Purcell’s output for the Church; music which is known for its expressive depth, dramatic intensity and inventive use of harmony and counterpoint.
