Salisbury Pluckers
Salisbury Pluckers was formed in 2014, with its first public performance in 2016. In those past eight years, the group has raised thousands of pounds for local charities, while performing in settings ranging from Salisbury Hospice to Salisbury Playhouse, and including schools, care homes, social clubs, local festivals and private events along the way. The members' infectious sense of fun and enjoyment and cheerful, upbeat music has brought joy to audiences young and old, with a repertoire ranging from the early years of the 20th century to the past decade.
Salisbury City Band
We are Salisbury Royal British Legion's own Band, and are proud to represent our local branch. Our mission is to bring band repertoire, including traditional military music, into public spaces. We take part in Remembrance, Armed Forces Day and many outdoor events. We do play indoors as well! We are always looking to recruit new players of a good standard in all sections, especially brass. We rehearse fortnightly and there’s no subscription. A warm welcome is assured!
Wiltshire College and University Centre
We present four amazing singer-songwriters that are playing a selection of acoustic numbers that have been carefully selected to bring some festive joy. Rosie Jay, Seren Maskeleyne, Lois and Izzy may already be familiar to some as they regularly perform across Wiltshire. They are all currently developing their musical skills at Wiltshire College and University Centre. These talented upcoming artists are not to be missed.
Bishop Wordsworth School
The music department at Bishop Wordworth’s school is full of wonderfully talented young musicians who are always keen to perform. Whether it be as a soloist in a full choral piece, leading the big band or singing to the new year 7s, we are very fortunate that the pupils are always ready to play their part. In any given week we have up to 10 different ensembles rehearsing and 3 choirs, so there is always some music taking place.
