Fisherton Mill is delighted to welcome back 'The Lemon Timers' for their sixth show at Fisherton Mill. The group derive their name from regular life drawing workshops historically timed by a lemon-shaped kitchen timer that kept very unreliable times! The exhibition, named 'Line of Sight', makes reference to this weekly discipline, which informs and constructs their work. The exhibition showcases a dynamic and varied collection of work from five members of this talented Wiltshire-based group, ranging from expressive landscapes and emotive sea scapes to illustrative pieces, abstract art and all in between.

Tricia Webb paints mainly landscapes and abstracts in both oils and acrylics. She is interested in capturing her feelings about the subject more than a realistic painting of a view. You will travel through 'Stormy Seas' and up to take the 'Mountain Air' in the work she has on view.

Margaret Gill has a love of painting and printmaking. Her work ranges from flowing abstracts to more considered smaller works. Her subjects include light, coastal elements and spontaneous lines. She has said that she owes a lot to her deep attachment to Scotland and Scottish artists.

Anne Tompson loves to paint landscapes of places she loves and describes her work as “a sensitive appreciation of light and/or the landscape”. From tumultuous oceans to languid streams, her pictures resound with light.

Caroline Curtis works in both acrylics and oils, painting abstracted landscapes of the places she loves such as the Cornish coast and the wild open countryside of Yorkshire, where she is from. Her titles give an intimate insight into her work such as 'Sometimes life is good' and 'In the absence of sensibility'.

Debra Sweeney is a figurative artist using mixed media in her paintings to emphasise light and composition. Her limited palette and simplicity of form re-imagine the landscape to create mood and atmosphere. On show in this exhibition will be landscapes and figure pieces drawn from the life class.

Meet the Artists - One of the Lemon Timers will be stewarding at the exhibition each Tuesday and Saturday of the exhibition. Here for 3 weeks only, don't miss this exciting exhibition by some of Wiltshire’s finest!
