This event salutes Sir Edward Heath’s passion for sailing and his exceptional achievements in the world of competitive international yachting.
Our headline speaker is up-and-coming young sailor, Timothy Long. In 2020, at the age of 15, Timothy sailed solo around Britain, at the time the youngest person to do so.
His talk will cover how his sailing career started, the races he has participated in, details of his solo round Britain event, and his plans for his future in the sport.
Peter Forbes will present a talk on “Sailing through canals” in Europe, and round the world, on his Amel 54 ketch.
